Where Your Journey Begins

Rooted in culture, driven by pride, crafted for you

Our Heart

Pride Peru Travel is a local agency born from the heart of Peru and created for those who travel with pride, freedom, and the desire to explore a country that embraces them just as they are. We craft safe, authentic, and deeply human experiences for LGBTIQ+ travelers and allies, who seek to connect with our culture, our landscapes, and, above all, with their own story along the way.Our mission is to build supportive spaces where every traveler feels seen, celebrated, and held. It’s such a joy to witness you flourish on this land.

Our mission is to build supportive spaces where every traveler feels seen, celebrated, and held. It’s such a joy to witness you flourish on this land. Our commitment is genuine and clear: offer you meaningful journeys, thoughtfully designed and deeply rooted in our Peruvian essence. We walk with you from the beginning, providing warm, attentive, and mindful support throughout your experience. Here, we don’t just guide tours; we co-create pilgrimages where duality is honored, ancestral memory is respected, and every step on this sacred land becomes an act of reciprocity.

OUR HISTORY

Pride Peru Travel was born from a love story. Two American husbands — travelers, dreamers, deeply in love with Peru and its people — decided to create the very agency they had always wished they could find: a space where traveling as an LGBTQ+ person wasn’t a worry, but a celebration.

Today, Pride Peru Travel is the reflection of that love. Every itinerary carries the same wonder with which they first discovered Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, and the Amazon. And every traveler who puts their trust in us becomes part of this story. Because tourism can be an act of joy, of respect, of genuine exchange, and above all, of pride.

Our Spirit

Authenticity

We live our values. No performance, no filter.

We celebrate diversity, honor our roots, and craft journeys that blend identity, culture, and freedom with a genuine, human spirit. Here, your queerness is part of the itinerary, not a footnote. Every experience we design is an invitation to be exactly who you are, in a country whose ancestral memory already knew about fluidity, duality, and sacred community long before we gave it language.

Commitment

Our work is grounded in real inclusion, not rainbow-washing.

We train our team, choose mindful partners who share our values, and create experiences that are honest, respectful, and truly supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. Every guide, every driver, every host family, every restaurant we recommend has been vetted for safety, allyship, and a genuine embrace of who you are. Because you deserve more than tolerance; you deserve celebration.

Tailored Adventure

Every detail is adapted so each traveler feels safe, welcomed, and celebrated. Whether your dream is a quiet ceremony under Andean stars, a night of dancing with the local queer community, or a private picnic on sacred land where your love is simply part of the view, we craft it with care. These aren’t cookie-cutter tours; they’re meaningful memories filled with joy, authenticity, and the unmistakable feeling of being truly seen.

GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM

People who care, listen, and create with heart that’s the team behind every journey.

Jimmy Mendoza

Founder & General Director

I believe in meeting every person with calm, respect, and authenticity. Pride Peru Travel was born from that same intention: the desire to create experiences where LGBTQ+ travelers can explore Peru with freedom, joy, and a genuine sense of connection.
I accompany each journey from the very first idea to the moment it becomes reality, taking care of every detail and creating an atmosphere of trust where every traveler feels heard, valued, and truly supported.
Connecting with people and shaping meaningful moments is what inspires me every day. It’s also what led me to create PV Travels and the ecosystem that sustains us today.
I speak Spanish and English, and I usually start my mornings with a good cup of coffee and the excitement of accompanying a new travel story.

ESSNA Code

We do not promote or permit the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.

The ESNNA Code refers to the “Code of Conduct for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents against Sexual Exploitation in Tourism and Travel” in Peru. This code is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) to combat the sexual exploitation of minors within the context of tourism and travel.

The primary objective of the ESNNA Code is to prevent and eradicate the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the travel and tourism industry. This is achieved through the implementation of ethical and responsible practices by tourism sector companies, as well as by raising awareness among tourists and industry workers.

Companies that adopt the ESNNA Code commit to:

  • Raising Awareness and Training: Training their staff to identify and prevent risk situations related to the sexual exploitation of minors in tourism.
  • Informing Clients and Suppliers: Informing clients and suppliers about the policies and measures adopted to combat the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
  • Refusal of Services: Refusing to provide services to any person involved in the sexual exploitation of minors.
  • Mandatory Reporting: Reporting any suspicion or indication of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents to the competent authorities.
  • Collaboration with Authorities: Cooperating with local authorities in the implementation and monitoring of compliance with regulations regarding the protection of minors in tourism.
  • Adoption of Internal Measures: Implementing internal policies that reinforce the protection of children’s rights within the company.

Tourism companies that adopt the ESNNA Code must:

  • Sign a formal commitment with MINCETUR.
  • Designate a person within the company responsible for ensuring compliance with the code.
  • Participate in training and refresher activities related to the prevention of the sexual exploitation of minors.

Adopting the ESNNA Code is a fundamental step toward promoting responsible and ethical tourism. Companies that commit to this code not only protect minors but also help improve the image of Peru’s tourism sector and build trust between tourists and the local community.
